The Simply Sori Story
It started with a simple need.
When it was time for our oldest to transition from a crib to a big kid bed, we wanted something safe for our child, beautiful in our home, and thoughtfully designed for this new stage of life.
When we couldn't find it, we built it ourselves.
What started as a solution for our own family quickly became something we knew other families needed too.
Because the crib-to-bed transition doesn't have to feel scary. It can be bedtime stories, morning snuggles, pillow forts, and the excitement of growing up.

Built in a garage. Built for families.
Simply Sori officially began in the summer of 2022 in our 300-square-foot, two-car garage while we were both teaching full time.
During the day, we were teachers.
In the evenings, weekends, and every spare moment in between, we were building beds.
Long before Simply Sori existed, woodworking had already become part of our story. Early in our marriage, we spent evenings and weekends building dining tables and furniture for ourselves, friends, and family. What started as a hobby slowly became a craft we loved refining together.
As Simply Sori grew, so did the business. Before long, lumber found its way into our house, bed frames were being packed in our living room, and our home quietly became a workshop.
Eventually, Stephen left his job as a High School English teacher to focus on Simply Sori full time. Soon after, we moved into a home with a 1,500-square-foot shop, and just a year later added a 1,200-square-foot addition to keep up with the demand of the business.
Not long after, Erin joined the business full time as well.
Today, what started as the two of us building beds in our garage has grown into a team of six, including four incredible employees who help craft every bed frame that leaves our shop.
Designed by parents, for parents.
Our first bed was never meant to become a business. It was built for our own children during the transition from crib to big kid bed.
After seeing how much it helped our family, we knew it was something worth sharing.
Today, we're honored to be part of this milestone for thousands of families.
